    Mughal Collection

The Mughal sofa draws its inspiration from the architecture of the iconic red fort of Delhi. The hexagonal structure of the base supporting the arms and the back draws parallel to the in formidable fortress walls. Yet again the same arrangement reminds us of a blossoming flower in which one feels protected. Therefore we can see a balance between power and passion, two key characteristics of the Mughal era. We have also tried to revive and re-contextualize the bath weaving which had become the signature style for furniture in government office, during the post independence era. The Hexagon created in the weaving compliments the overall form of the sofa. Hand crafted in metal, the mughal table is inspired by the geometric patterns often seen in stone Jalis (Meshes) works of the Mughal era. A similar style of the period is evident in the mirrored wall decor ensemble.
